Chemical Dependency Program

Westover Treatment Centre offers a three week residential co-educational treatment program for up to 22 clients. Our curriculum utilizes the 12-step model in addition to current modern therapies and follows a three-week rotation. Our program is highly structured and includes individualized counseling, videos, discussions, lectures and recreation.

A highly recommended six-month Aftercare Program follows residential treatment. Our program utilizes a variety of methods to assist our clients:

• To gain an understanding of addiction as a primary illness
• To recognize the thinking patterns that have established the need for alcohol or drugs
• To make a commitment towards accepting personal responsibility for maintaining abstinence in recovery
• To make changes in thinking, feeling and actions necessary towards a renewed value system

Clients are referred to Westover by our Referral Agencies, as well as doctors, social service agencies, withdrawal management services, employee assistance groups, probation/parole departments as well as family and friends.
